The Enthusiasts
Brain Injury Matters' Choir, The Enthusiasts are members of Brain Injury Matters and volunteers from Ormeau and Antrim Community Choirs
Funded by Brain Injury Matters charity, this choir is for people with acquired brain injury. We have been running since Autumn 2019 and have had lots of fun along the way. Volunteers from Ormeau and Antrim Community Choirs join us every week to add to the overall sound and of course, the craic.
We have performed at the Mental Health Arts Festival for the last few years along with amazing musicians including Colin Reid and the Belfast Guitar Orchestra in 2023 & 2024, with Matt McGinn, Nicky Scott and Chip Bailey in 2025.
This year we were delighted to sing at both Thompson House Hospital and Musgrave Park Hospital during ABI week (acquired brain injury). Many of our members had experience of coming through Musgrave as patients following their brain injury so it was an incredible experience. We performed a wonderful set of music and poetry all around themes of hope and resilience with members of the Unholy Gospel Band: Donal Scullion and Claire McCartney.
